I know your video was posted in 2018, but I wish Bachmann would have continued making this model. It would work better on my 4 x 8 Kansas River and Southern which is based on Dave Meek's never built Rimfire and Latigo. The Bachmann 2-6-0 Moguls work, but at nearly 13 inches long they are big. Climaxes would look better or maybe 2-4-4 Forneys. I guess I could try the 2-6-2 tank trench locomotives. As the KR&S is a freelance On30 road very loosely based on the real 3 ft gauge Kansas Central Railroad that used to run from Leavenworth, Kansas to Miltonvale, Kansas I could run a couple of those saying the KR&S purchased them at auction after World War 1 aka The Great War from Fort Riley.

Really nice. I got a Premier Conrail RS-11 model from the fall 2020 release and love it.

Anyone have tips on cleaning these, I had mine resting on my table for awhile and couldn't run it because some of my scale tracks got damaged from a cat jumping off a shelf. I tried cleaning it with a cue tip but there's a lot of places I cant get.

I have a question can you run a regular Hi-rail Diesel on a superstreets track?

I have this loco plus five others from American Models. My track and switches are vintage American Flyer and all locos operate just fine with exception of the GGI. The guide wheels are sensitive to any variation in track height and when track is not absolutely level the guide wheels will jump. Some track adjustment has been completed but one small section is at the layout rear and can only be reached by clearing a part of the platform and working on hands and knees. No thanks.

Very nice video and layout. I just bought a Lionel JLC Series UP Big Boy #4024 and I'm waiting for it to arrive. I just stumbled across this MTH Rail King locomotive and have seen some videos of it here. I'm eyeing one up now and might have to buy it now, thanks to your well done and persuasive video.

cool locomotive...... i just dont like how the MTH models are not to scale exactly. It is neat that it works on O-31 radius curves but the one im panning to get runs on O-72
